My son has been training with Instructor Ilias at Summit Martial Arts for over 2 1/2 years and has learned so much. The classes are well organized and challenging, teaching both physical skills and character development. I especially enjoy that my son can learn confidence, leadership, respect, a hard work ethic, and humility, all while progressing physically in huge ways. This is a great program.
This program is perfect for all ages! I train along with my son and it has been a wonderful bonding and learning experience for us both. The instructor is great with the kids and teaches them to be disciplined, respectful and confident both inside and outside the studio. My son has grown a lot since joining and I highly recommend this program
My son has been attending Mr. Ilias' classes for almost 6 mos. now and it has been a really great learning experience for him. I believe that this is one of the best studios in the greater Scranton area. He not only trains physically but helps with mental discipline as well. If you are looking for somewhere to really learn a martial art, this is the place to go. He is very passionate about his craft. The cost is also very reasonable. I am so glad we were able to find his studio.
Highly recommend for adult classes or youth classes. Very positive atmosphere. Great physical and mental experience.
Excellent studio. My son (7) and I (33) both train under Mr. Ilias, and it is nothing less than impressive to see how he adjusts the intensity of the instruction to both match and push his students. He brings a rich depth of knowledge and culture that take this from a "karate class" to something much grander. And yet, he manages to create an environment in which training is fun and fulfilling. No doubt in my mind that this is the place to be if you are interested in the martial arts - no matter what level you are at. It's definitely worth checking out at either location!

Yes, You can sign up online or just stop by for your first class.
How much is it to join?
Our basic membership is ninety nine dollars a month. With no long term commitment.
Will I learn how to defend myself?
Yes, You are learning a martial art that was largely practiced by service members of our armed forces.
How much is a uniform?
Uniforms are sixty dollars, but free when you train 2 or more days a week.
Where are you located?
We have two locations. 1971 Scranton Carbondale HWY, Blakely, PA & 1030 Mountain View Plaza, Hallstead, PA
What kind of martial art will I learn?
You will learn the art of Soo Bahk Do ("way of the striking hand") Moo Duk Kwan ("school of Military Virtue")
What ages do you take?
We teach ages 5 and up
As an adult, will I have to train with kids?
No, our classes are structured by age.
